The Hole

This beach is actually called the Boca del Canon Beach. The local surfers call this beach as ‘The Hole.’ The Hole is a San Clemente Municipal Beach which is between the San Clemente Pier and the Calafia Park Beach. You can go to the middle of the La Ladera housing development on Boca del Canon Street to access the beach.

The Hole is a narrow sandy beach which has large rocks piled next to the active railroad tracks. You can access the beach’s restrooms found in the north part of the access point. Volleyball courts are also found south of the Lost Winds Beach access. The Coastal Trail is an excellent place for walking, biking, running, or jogging.
