Mariposa Beach

The entrance to the Mariposa Beach is a long walkway where the West Mariposa and the West Escalones avenues meet. There’s a footbridge at the bottom of the pathway for the San Clemente Coastal Trail. This footbridge goes north to North Beach and south to the San Clemente Pier.

There’s a pedestrian underpass that dips under the railroad tracks to the beach at the bottom of the footbridge. Mariposa Beach is a narrow beach that can be under water at high tide. But if you’re lucky to visit at the right time, this is a peaceful and uncrowded beach spot to enjoy.
