El Portal Beach

The entrance to this beach can be accessed through the intersection of the Buena Vista and El Portal streets. Because of this access, people call this beach either the El Portal Beach or the Buena Vista Beach.

El Portal Beach has a long steep trail that has stairs down to the train tracks and the beach. People find it better to surf on this narrow beach rather than doing other beach activities because the area is mostly wet at high tide.
