The San Clemente Beach Trail is probably the most famous hiking trail in the city. With a 2.3-mile hiking trail that connects North Beach and Calafia Beach, the beach trail is one of the best. It stretches along the city’s coastline. You can walk, jog, or bike through it.

Here are some tips to thoroughly enjoy the Beach Trail:

BICYCLISTS: Take extra precaution when passing other people walking or jogging on the trail and be considerate. Make use of bike bells. Follow the ‘Walk Bike Zones’ and stay there on Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.

WALKERS WITH DOGS: Be responsible when you bring your dog to the beach trail. Keep your dog on a 6-foot or below leash to avoid disturbing other trail users. Pick up after your dog. It won’t be so hard ion doing so as the city provided the trail with disposable bags and waste containers.

ALL TRAIL USERS: Always be considerate of other trail users. Carefully follow the trail’s rules and regulations for a safe and enjoyable hiking trail usage. If you’re using this path frequently, make it yours by picking up trash along the trails some irresponsible users leave behind.
